Drawing Symbology, Parts

Contains controls to specify how the part appears when composing a drawing.

SettingDescription
Cut Plane View Attributes Used to define the symbology overrides, the levels, and other options for the cut view of an extracted drawing. A Cut View is a drawing that represents the intersection of a plane or planar shape with the model.
  • Activate – If on, uses the Cut Plane View Attributes in a cut plane view drawing.
  • Unify – If on, removes the divider lines between forms in section drawings. Select one of two options: Unify with Self removes divider lines between forms, with the same part attached, as being defined; and Unify enabled with a part name shown in the Unify combo box enables removal of divider lines between forms of the type being added and the part displayed in the Unify combo box.
  • Always Cut in Compound Cells — If on, geometrically cuts the part being defined when displayed in a section drawing.
Forward and Reflected View Attributes Used to define the symbology overrides, the levels, and other options for the elements in the specific zone of the cut view that is forward of the cutting plane or behind the cutting plane. A Forward View is a representation of what is seen when looking forward from the cutting plane. Lines that are physically visible are shown in the Forward View. A Reflected View is a representation of what is seen when looking away from the cutting plane. Lines that are physically visible are shown in the Reflected View.
  • Activate – If on, uses the Forward and Reflected View Attributes in a cut plane view drawing.
